What was your favorite fairy tale...

What was your favorite fairy tale as a child? It is really odd, as we mature and if we don't have children, we can forget some of the details of the fairy tales we loved as children. I had heard somewhere, that we tend to gravitate to stories that are symbolic of the archetype(s) we ourselves exhibit in our personalities.

I haven't fleshed out the archetypal similarities to my personality, other than to narrow it down to...depend on yourself, know what is true for you and the rest falls into place.
Mine are:
The Emperor's New Clothes...Hans Christian Andersen
The Princess & the Pea...Hans Christian Andersen
Rapunzel...Grimm's Fairytales
Chicken Little (Henny Penny)....Neither above mentioned author's

Other Childrens books:
The 5 Chinese Brothers
James & The Giant Peach
Chronicles of Narnia
The Giving Tree
Charlotte's Web
Heidi

More than just DNA???

Unleashing the Power of the God Code by Gregg Braden

Gregg Braden's ability to find innovative scientific solutions to complex problems led to successful careers as a Computer Geologist for Phillips Petroleum during the 1970's energy crisis, and in the 1980's as a Senior Computer Systems Designer for Martin Marietta Aerospace during the last years of the Cold War. In 1991 he became the first Technical Operations Manager for the network innovator, Cisco Systems, where he led the development of the global support team that assures the reliability of today's Internet. Global crises of the late 20th Century inspired him to leave the corporations and begin a full-time quest for the solutions that he believes survive in the oldest records of our past.

Abridged Version From Publishers Weekly

Best-selling author Braden (The God Code & The Isaiah Effect) argues that every human being has the name of God literally embedded in his or her DNA. Braden's research relies heavily on the kabalistic technique of assigning numerical values to each letter of the Hebrew alphabet. He begins by correlating the essential elements of the human body (hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen and carbon) to their Hebrew equivalents, then he calculates their alpha/numeric values and finds that these elements spell out the Hebrew letters for God-YHVH. Braden attempts to make his explanations of this complicated process clear and free of scientific jargon. He speculates that "through the primal act of creating human life, God shared a part of himself as he 'breathed his breath' into our species." He wonders if "we will allow...the diversity within Christian, Hebrew, and Muslim values" to divide the world irrevocably. He speaks of scientists who believe it is possible for humans to one day live in a world, free from disease, decay and war, should man truly understand that every person, no matter what race or religion, is made of the same stuff, and made by the same creator.

MY COMMENTS:
I enjoy listening to Audio CD's as I get ready in the morning, while I clean the house, and as I prepare meals. Listening to "Unleashing the Power of The God Code," this 'book' satisfied my interest's in science, physics, history, and theology all in one! This was one of the most plausible theories that resonated with me and ultimately makes you recognize the responsibility, as well as, the ability we all have in creating a more unified existence on our planet. If you have an interest in The Dead Sea Scrolls and how 'God is within' each of us...scientifically you are taken on a journey of asking the most pertinent questions of life's most challenging inquiries.

Discernment or Psychic Predictions?

I just have to pose the question...discernment or psychic prediction...what is the difference? Honestly, I liken it to shooting fish in a barrel in respect to some of the "Henny Penny the sky is falling prognostications". The following article is off of the Associated Press Release in regard to Pat Robertson's 'word of knowledge' from G-d.

The irony is this...you can watch a 30 second commercial sound byte for Sylvia Browne on the Montel Williams show and glean essentially the same concern for another terrorist attact. I ask you, is this a predicition, a concern, or a certainty with the escalation of threats and upheveal? Is a terrorist threat one of gang members killing inocent bystanders, erroneous drive by shootings, or sociopaths on a killing spree? Quantify who the "terrorist's" are.

Do I doubt the ability to 'know the unknowable'... NO! My perception is based on the science of physics, string theory, the space time continuum, and the power of our beliefs and prayers energetically on what part we play in the cause and effect of our existence. Whether it is the Bible, The Torah, The Qu'ran, or The Book of Mormon there were Prophets, the question lies in the interpretations of the Prophets to reveal the accuracy or inaccuracy.

Pat Robertson Predicts Deadly Attack on U.S

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Jan. 3) - In what has become an annual tradition of prognostications, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson said Tuesday God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in "mass killing" late in 2007. I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be nuclear," he said during his news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network. "The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that."

Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.

Robertson said God also told him that the U.S. only feigns friendship with Israel and that U.S. policies are pushing Israel toward "national suicide."

Robertson suggested in January 2006 that God punished then-Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon with a stroke for ceding Israeli-controlled land to the Palestinians.

The broadcaster predicted in January 2004 that President Bush would easily win re-election. Bush won 51 percent of the vote that fall, beating Democratic Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts.

In 2005, Robertson predicted that Bush would have victory after victory in his second term. He said Social Security reform proposals would be approved and Bush would nominate conservative judges to federal courts.

Lawmakers confirmed Bush's 2005 nominations of John Roberts and Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court . But the president's Social Security initiative was stalled.

"I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."

In May, Robertson said God told him that storms and possibly a tsunami were to crash into America's coastline in 2006. Even though the U.S. was not hit with a tsunami, Robertson on Tuesday cited last spring's heavy rains and flooding in New England as partly fulfilling the prediction.

Do You Make New Year Resolutions?

Yesterday we received a call from Bob's sister, and in the course of chatting she had asked if I had made any New Year's resolutions. (Hmmmmmmmmm...not so much... I thought), then I responded by saying that I plan to live one day at a time with vibrancy, vitality, and usefulness. That covers alot of territory without being too specific, because the reality is I don't make resolutions per se. I attempt to make each day one where I can reflect and say, "I am better for living having had this day!"

What about you...?
