If you have been watching some of the 'global' news networks, I am sure you have been privy to the excessive news coverage featuring the life, times, and early demise of Anna Nicole Smith; words elude me, however this cartoon sums it up nicely!

well, let's see -- Anna was news until Imus shot off his mouth (racism/sexism trumps tramp) and he was top-of-the-news until the VT massacre (mass murder trumps everything unless its overseas)...gee, why do I even watch television....Jen's right....
UGH!!!!!!! Interesting to note, that prior to the Virginia Tech. slayings,I had advised Bob that aside from reading the newspaper I am not interested in watching the news;as it seems all too invested in the spectacle & mania that these tragedies turn into. I am lovin' my PBS more than ever.
